The webinar intends to serve as an overall introduction to patient engagement in research. It will provide some of the evidence related to patient engagement in research, demonstrate some of the ways research teams in the BHI community have engaged with patient partners, and provide some foundational resources that can help them in their own patient engagement work.
Join us to
- Be able to define basic terms related to patient engagement in research such as: patient partner, patient engagement, patient-oriented research, and others;
- Become aware of different ways patient partners can be engaged in different types of research (e.g., preclinical, clinical, etc.)
- Know 2-3 resources that can support you in engaging patients in your research.
