Dr. Mistrale Goudreau is a Faculty member at the Centre for Law, Technology, and Society, and a Full Professor within the Faculty of Law, Civil Law section at the University of Ottawa. 

Dr. Mistrale Goudreau is a member of the Quebec Bar, and her teaching areas include intellectual property, statutory interpretation and law and technology. She has also been a visiting professor and lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the Université de Montréal, the Faculty of Law of the Université de Nantes (France), and the Canadian Foreign Service Institute (CFSI) in Ottawa, as well as a visiting researcher at the Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches und internationales Patent-, Urheber- und Wettbewerbsrecht (Munich, Germany) and a consultant for the Government of Canada.

In the past, Dr. Goudreau has served as Executive Director of the Council of Canadian Law Deans, Associate Dean of Clinical and Applied Education, and Associate Dean of the Civil Law Section at the University of Ottawa. She was also president of the law journal “Les Cahiers de propriété intellectuelle” (2014-2016).  

She has published numerous articles on copyright, unfair competition, legislative drafting and legal theory. She is the author of the International Encyclopaedia of Laws: Intellectual Property Canada, (Kluwer Law International).
