Dr. Sabrina Wilkinson was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre for Law, Technology and Society where she researched the policy impact of academic explanatory journalism under the supervision of Dr. Elizabeth Dubois and Dr. Florian Martin-Bariteau.

Sabrina Wilkinson holds a PhD in Media and Communications from Goldsmiths, University of London, where she researched Canadian digital policy development as a SSHRC doctoral fellow. She has led a range of funded research projects, including on the state of Canadian journalism and Canadians' use of social media for political engagement, with results published in scholarly and policy publications.

Alongside her academic research as part of the Global Journalism Innovation Lab, Sabrina Wilkinson has written for many digital and print outlets on topics including privacy, digital policy, and the news media. She led a major survey of gender equity in Canadian journalism as the 2018 J-Source Reporting Fellow.
