In 2021, the McCarthy Tétrault Foundation established this award to support one of the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law’s key areas of expertise and strengths shared with McCarthy Tetrault, one of Canada's leading technology law firms.

McCarthy Tétrault Technology Law Awards
Awards
Each year, one award of a minimum of $500 will be attributed to the student who received the highest grade for a paper submitted to the technology law course offered by the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section.
These awards are generously supported by donations made to the Centre by the McCarthy Tétrault Foundation.
Eligibility
Candidates must be registered full-time at the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section, University of Ottawa, have presented a paper, and have shown firm involvement in a technology law course.
Application
Students cannot directly apply for this award. Each academic year, the award is automatically attributed based on grades obtained in technology law courses offered by the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section.
