Environment and Green job sites and resources
The following is a list of websites that connect students to job postings in the environmental sustainability area.
Canada-wide
This website is billed as a “business hub for environmental professionals” and has an EnviroJobs board.
Canadian Water Resource Association (CWRA)
The CWRA website provides information on general water resource issues across Canada. Its job board focuses on job opportunities relevant to water resources.
This website provides a search engine for non-profit positions in Canada including environmental NGO’s. There is also an e-learning component to the website which houses related courses, webinars and events.
ECO Canada offers a job board where employers across Canada post environmentally related job openings.
This website is a broad search engine for career opportunities across Canada but it has an option to search “top employers” in a variety of areas including ‘Canada’s Greenest Employers.’
GoodWork Canada provides access to environmental job opportunities. Positions with environmental organizations, green business, education and government can be found here. Volunteer opportunities are also posted through this website. Resources include job and volunteer boards as well as a daily email list.
This website provides information on different Canadian environmental job sites (including EcoCanada and GoodWork) and has an “environmental job and career resources” section.
This website provides a “work opportunities” list of some of the most recent environmentally related jobs. Updates are available on their newsfeed.
Réseau Canadien de l’Environnement/ Canadian Environmental Network (RCEN)
RCEN facilitates communication between environmental NGO’s across Canada and helps them to get involved with government processes. RCEN also has a job board which is provided in association with GoodWork Canada.
This website bills itself as a place where eco-focused job seekers of all levels (from entry to senior level) can find employment. There is a job board as well as a place to post resumes.
Provincial Environmental Networks

This website deals with Conservation Authorities in Ontario. It also has a list of employment in the various Conservation Authorities across the province.
Green Ottawa is ‘a gateway to green, sustainable Ottawa.’ Along with events and news, this website has a job board which lists environmental employment opportunities in Ottawa, Gatineau and the National Capital Region.

This website has a searchable job board as well as a place for job seekers to post resumes for employers to search.
