We invite you to join us on February 11th from 12:00 to 1:00 pm EST for a discussion with John Sylvestre (he/him), full professor with the School of Psychology and Co-Director of CRECS. His presentation is titled "Strengthening Social Housing Communities through Multi-Level Change Strategies".
Abstract :
This presentation will examine processes for supporting positive community change in social housing. It will describe ongoing community development and participatory action research efforts to support and mobilize a social housing community in Ottawa, and a coalition of community organizations, to document community strengths and needs and to formulate a plan for multi-level change. The presentation will highlight accomplishments to date, along with ongoing challenges and lessons learned.
