Results-Based Management (RBM) Professional Development Summit 2025

Building a Results-Oriented Public Sector Ecosystem

Join us for a day of learning and networking at the cutting edge of the latest public sector results-based management (RBM) knowledge.

The Summit is a collaborative initiative between PPX (Performance and Planning Exchange) and the University of Ottawa’s Centre on Governance. This intensive one-day learning event brings together government, industry, and academic insights to advance the practice of RBM in the evolving public sector landscape.

Who Should Attend?

The RBM Summit is developed to support the “results community of practice”. This diverse and dynamic group brings together practitioners and  experts with a variety of skills, including strategic planning, risk management, and performance measurement, as well as monitoring, evaluation, auditing and performance reporting, fostering an enriching exchange of new ideas and best professional practices. The RBM Summit welcomes participants from governments, the private sector, think tanks, research organizations, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders engaged in the results agenda. Open to attendees from across Canada and internationally, the Summit offers both in-person and online participation options, ensuring accessibility for a coast to coast to coast and global audience. Additionally, all workshop videos will be available for streaming post-conference, allowing for continued learning and engagement. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or new to results-based management, this Summit provides an invaluable opportunity to connect, learn, and contribute to the evolving field of RBM in public administration.

Student access. The RBM Summit is primarily designed for professionals actively engaged in the results-based management field. However, we recognize the importance of nurturing future talent and offer valuable opportunities for students to participate in the Symposium as volunteers. If you are a student interested in volunteering for this enriching experience, please contact Professor Eric Champagne at [email protected] for more information and to express your interest.

Hybrid Format and Video Streaming Access

The RBM Summit offers flexibility and accessibility:

  • Online participation for remote participants (300 places)
  • All workshops will be recorded in video format and available for streaming to all registered participants (in-person and online) one month after the event.

The hybrid format (in person and online) and video access to all workshops one month after the event represent an innovative approach that combines the best of both worlds: live interaction and the flexibility of distance learning. This modern approach guarantees an enriching learning experience tailored to individual needs, maximizing the value of your training investment.
