Forum 2016

May 2016 

On May 2nd to May 4th, 2016, the first discussion forum on Age-Friendly Business was held as a joint ILC-Canada/Faculty of Health Sciences Age-Friendly business research forum targeting older workers and older consumers. The goal was to identify the most important policies, challenges, strategies and best practices in relation to older consumers and older workers. Invitees came from various background; private sector, government officials, academics, and civil society.

Distinguished guests:

• Alexandre Kalache, Co-President of the International Longevity Centre – Global Alliance and President of ILC-Brazil 
• The Honorable Jean- Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development

Five priority sectors were identified: 

• Transportation
• Healthcare institutions
• Financial institutions
• Housing
• Workplace
