Holiday Greeting Card Contest

Every year during the holiday season, the University of Ottawa’s Vice-President, Research and Innovation sends hundreds of holiday greeting cards. Enter our contest for a chance to win $2,000 and have your work of art on the cover of the 2024 cards!

The theme of the contest is innovation. The works submitted must represent what innovation means to you.

The winning work is purchased by the University for $2,000.

Full-time and part-time undergraduate and graduate students of the University of Ottawa are invited to submit photos of a maximum of three original works of art that they created and still own.

Participating students can submit photos of a maximum of three original works of art that they created and still own.

Each work of art submitted must be accompanied with the following information:

  • Title of the art work
  • Description of the artwork, including medium used (drawing, painting, sculpture, photograph, etc.) and the dimensions/size of the artwork
  • Descriptive text indicating how the work of art represents innovation (100 words max)

NOTE: The pictures submitted must be in high resolution and can be either jpg or pdf files. Participants must disclose any use of artificial intelligence tools and briefly explain how AI was used to create the work of art.

All participants are asked to send their files to [email protected] no later than Friday, November 1, 2024.
