The Human Rights Research and Education Centre (HRREC) was honoured to welcome the 2019 winner of the Embassy of Canada in Venezuela Human Rights Award, Mrs. Katherine Martinez from Prepara Familia. The meeting took place in the context of a visit to Ottawa, between June 20 and 24. Sean Cornelissen from the Venezuela Task Force at Global Affairs Canada accompanied the award winner.
Members Catalina Arango, Salvador Herencia, and Isaac Nahon-Serfaty, as well as HRREC Assistant Director Viviana Fernandez were present for the event.
