On September 1-2, the European Society of International Law (ESIL) held its 2023 Annual Conference in Aix-en-Provence addressing the question Is International Law Fair? Gordon F. Henderson Postdoctoral Fellow, Ashley Barnes, was one of over 500 participants and took part in a panel on Fairness and International Litigation. She discussed some of her ongoing work at the Human Rights Research and Education Centre (HRREC) on access to remedies in international law and presented a paper: Fair Compensation: Reality or Aspiration in International Law?
