Mr. Campbell, Former Executive Director of Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA), widely recognized as Canada’s leading progressive think tank, started a yearlong Fellowship funded by the Law Foundation of Ontario. His work will focus on public disasters and associated regulatory failure. Specifically, he will further his study of the Lac-Mégantic rail disaster of July 6, 2013. Along with teaching and research, it is anticipated that HRREC will host a photographic exhibition in fall 2016 inspired by this event. This initiative resulted from a partnership between the Common Law and Droit Civil Sections at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law and HRREC.
