Bahareh Jafarian is a legal researcher and policy analyst currently working towards a Ph.D. in Law at the University of Ottawa. Her ongoing research critically examines the relationship between secondary sanctions and the Business and Human Rights (BHR) normative framework. The ultimate goal of her project is to comprehensively understand the governance gaps within BHR instruments and propose essential policy reforms. She also holds an LLM from Dalhousie University and actively participates in projects related to BHR. In her work, Bahareh aspires to bridge the gap between policy-making and law, with a strong commitment to driving positive changes in the legal landscape.
