On November 29th, 2017, the Samuelson-Glushko Canadian Internet Policy & Public Interest Clinic (CIPPIC) intervened before the Supreme Court of Canada in Haaretz.com, et al. v. Mitchell Goldhar.
CIPPIC was represented before the Supreme Court of Canada by David Fewer, Director of CIPPIC, as well as Professors Jeremy de Beer and Marina Pavlović, members of the Centre.
The CIPPIC team included student Lora Hamilton and intern Adam Soliman, who provided outstanding support throughout the intervention, and attendance at the hearing.

The Court is called to examine the question of jurisdiction in the context of Internet libel. CIPPIC’s intervention focused on access to justice, forum shopping concerns, and technological neutrality.
