Dr. Elizabeth Dubois is a Faculty member at the Centre for Law, Technology and Society and an Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa where she runs the Pol Comm Tech Lab, a multi-disciplinary research group focused on exploring the intersections of politics, communication, and technology, which includes political scientists, computer scientists, and communication scholars. Dr. Dubois also hosts the Wonks and War Rooms podcast, where political communication theory meets on the ground strategy.
Dr. Elizabeth Dubois’ work examines political uses of digital media including media manipulation, citizen engagement, and artificial intelligence. At the Berkman Klein Center, she will focus on how political actors strategically interact with artificial intelligence and automated systems to share political information and ideas.
One of the leading research centres in technology and society, the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University has appointed 8 fellows for the 2022-2023 academic year who will cover topics ranging from human rights and the impact of migration technologies, to security researcher protection and pandemic-era knowledge access. The fellowship program aims to “create a protocol, a culture, a spirit that puts the emphasis on being open, being kind, being good listeners, being engaged, being willing to learn from one another.”
Congratulations to Dr. Dubois!
