On 8 June 2022, the Centre welcomed the The Netherlands Ambassador for Human Rights, Dr Bahia Tahzib-Lie, and The Netherlands Ambassador to Canada, Ines Coppoolse, and their colleague Ms Jeanine de Vos, for an exchange and brief discussion about shared interests and challenges notably of Human Rights Defenders, Activists-in-Exile and Scholars-At-Risk (SAR).
Members of the SAR uOttawa Committee and of the project Voices in Exile, led by HRREC Members Professors Nadia Abu-Zahra and John Packer, participated in the meeting.
