Prof Mary Cavanagh, a member of the Centre for Law, Technology and Society, Kristianne Anor, Sean Grassie, and Tara Hristov, the research assistants, intervened before the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) in the Inquiry regarding the retail sales practices of Canada’s large telecommunications carriers. Their submission is based on the findings from their Law Foundation of Ontario funded project “Mapping the Front End: Legal Information Seeking Practices”.
On October 23, 2018, the team appeared before the Commission. It's worth noting Prof Cavanagh appeared along with the students, offering them an unmatched opportunity to participate in a regulatory proceeding and discuss policy issues.
Congratulations to the whole team! The Centre for Law, Technology and Society is proud to foster academic research engaged in policy-making, especially when it prominently features our students!
The team’s written submission is available on the CRTC website.
