On December 5, 2023, Dr. Michael Geist, a Faculty member at the University of Ottawa's Centre for Law, Technology and Society, appeared before the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to discuss the development of the regulatory framework on contributions to support Canadian and indigenous content.

On December 5, 2023, Dr. Michael Geist, a Faculty member at the University of Ottawa's Centre for Law, Technology and Society, appeared before the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to discuss the development of the regulatory framework on contributions to support Canadian and indigenous content.

Dr.  Michael Geist presented to the commission with his expert opinion and views on Bill C-11 (now S.C. 2023, c. 8) and the proposed regulatory framework.

Dr. Michael Geist is the Canada Research Chair in Internet and e-Commerce Law, a Faculty member at the Centre for Law, Technology and Society, and a Full Professor in the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section at the University of Ottawa.
