At the Human Rights Research and Education Centre (HRREC), we have the chance to host talented and interesting scholars as Gordon F. Henderson Postdoctoral Fellows. Their work enriches our community and enhances our expertise in diverse research areas. Normally their appointments last just one year, but they remain a part of the HRREC family and we are always pleased to celebrate their successes!

Sarah Olutola (Postdoctoral Fellow from 2018 to 2019) has joined Lakehead University's Department of English as their Assistant Professor in Writing. As an academic and professional writer, Sarah Olutola’s primary areas of research and teaching include Black Anglophone literature, critical race studies and creative writing.

Melchisedek Chetima (Postdoctoral Fellow from 2017 to 2018) was appointed assistant professor of sub-Saharan African history at the Université du Québec à Montréal’s History Department. He is scheduled to begin his duties on December 1, 2021.
