Prof. Scassa and Martin-Bariteau appeared before the House of Commons to discuss PIPEDA

On February 23rd, Dr. Teresa Scassa and Dr. Florian Martin-Bariteau appeared before the House of Commons’ Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics.

The Committee is currently engaged in a  review of thePersonal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Dr. Teresa Scassa, a member of the Centre, is a Full Professor and the Canada Research Chair in Information Law at the Common Law Section, Faculty of Law. Dr. Florian Martin-Bariteau, is an Assistant Professor at the Common Law Section, Faculty of Law, and the Director of the Centre for Law, Technology and Society.

It is worth noting that Prof. Valerie Steeves, another member of the CLTS, also appeared last week before the Committee.
