Participation of Women in the Judiciary and Prosecutorial Offices
Presentation of the United Nations Special Rapporteur's latest report on the Independence of Judges and Lawyers to the General Assembly focusing on gender equality in the judiciary. The Special Rapporteur will examine the current status of women’s representation in judicial systems, identifying the barriers hindering their adequate access to, and promotion and retention in, the judiciary and prosecution services. This is an initiative of our Human Rights Clinic's Project The Independence of Judges and Lawyers.
