Training Room (Room 203) AV System User Guide

Technology available

  • Computer, drop-down display screen, and projector
  • Sennheiser ceiling microphone
  • 2 handheld and 2 lapel microphones
  • Creston touch screen device
  • Smart board
  • SMK-Link clicker (for slides)

Starting the system in the Training Room

Before login:

  1. Go to the computer in the far corner of the training room.
  2. To turn on the system, tap the small Creston touch screen and select your language preference.
  3. The system will ask if you want to start it (yes or no). Select “Yes.
  4. The projection screen will automatically come down from the wall.
  5. Check the projector on the ceiling to make sure it’s on (blue lights means yes).
  6. Using the touchpad, select either build-in computer or your laptop.

If using a laptop connected to HDMI cord

  1. Connect your device to the HDMI cord attached to the system near the head of the table.
  2. Your screen should now be projected on the monitor.

If using built-in computer in the room

  1. Open the computer cabinet. Turn computer ON.

Location of the power button on computer, right side of the case.

  1. Sign into the computer in front of you:

    Username: tempadmin     

    Password: admin1

  2. The projector will now mirror what’s on the computer.
  • To lower or raise the projector screen, tap the button on the right bottom of the Creston touchpad.
  • The SMK-Link clicker is only available for the built-in computer.
  • Use the computer to sign into Teams, Zoom, Google, YouTube, etc. (be sure to sign out when you’re done).

Audio and microphone instructions:

  1. You can mute audio by pressing the mute button.
  2. There are two handheld and two lapel microphones available for use on the same table as the computer.
  3. To turn them on, turn the switch on the front to On.
  4. The Sennheiser device located on the ceiling beside the projector is also a microphone and will pick up your voice anywhere in the room so that those who are listening virtually can hear you (blue lights means it’s on).
  5. The entire system must be on for the Sennheiser device to work.

Turn off the system when you’re finished and leave the keyboard, mouse and HDMI cord where you found them.
