The X-ray Core Facility is located in room 028A in the new STEM complex. The facility provides sample analysis via single crystal x-ray diffraction (SCXRD), powder x-ray diffraction (PXRD) and x-ray fluorescence (XRF).

Training

Users wishing to run their own experiments must receive appropriate training. Training will be given on an individual basis - there are no group training sessions. A training fee, determined by the X-ray Facility Committee, will be charged for each new user. If you would like to be trained to use one of the XRD instruments please contact Jeff Ovens. If you do not have many samples to analyze or you do not plan on personally using XRD regularly please submit your samples directly to the x-ray manager for analysis.
