Two women discussing.

What to expect?

Life is like a map, full of bends and slopes, roadblocks and U-turns. Your experience as a student is no different.

While some students have a clear goal in mind and take the necessary steps to attain their objectives, many students feel unsure and overwhelmed.

We will engage in a creative exploration to gain clarity, and set attainable career goals, while assessing multiple paths and identifying the supports we need to keep us moving along the way.

This event will be conducted in English only. Please consult this link for the French session.

Who is Anne Walsh?

Anne taught full-time at Algonquin College for twelve years, covering topics such as psychology and leadership while coordinating field placements for 120 students in the Recreation and Leisure Services program.

She left this role to start a family. Once her daughters were in school, she launched her own corporate wellness business, offering workshops and one on one coaching for just under ten years.

During the pandemic, Anne focused on career development. She helped individuals find meaningful employment through an Employment Ontario agency then returned to Algonquin College on contract to teach job search skills.

She is now working at uOttawa, supporting students in the Co-operative education program.
