Erasmus +

Erasmus+ is a program created by the European Union (EU) to promote education, training, youth and sport in Europe. One objective is to promote co-operation with partner countries such as Canada.

The University of Ottawa has been selected by several European partners to participate in Erasmus +, allowing our students, staff and professors to receive funding for mobility stays at these partners.

Funding varies according to the length of the stay, the host country and the distance between Canada and the host country, among other factors.

The scholarship covers travel costs as well as costs incurred during the stay. For example, a student who completes a mobility stay of five months in Spain could receive 800 EUR x five months + 820 EUR towards their flight, totaling 4,800 EUR.

Each year, funding granted to uOttawa exchange students may change. The section below will be updated with the Erasmus + destinations available for the 2025–2026 academic year.

NEW:

2 student mobility scholarship are available for the Université Lumière Lyon 2 in France.

No need to apply, we will be evaluating all the students that were accepted by uOttawa to the International Exchange Program.

No other Erasmus+ funding is available for 2025-2026.
