This test is intended for students applying for an international exchange who need to demonstrate their proficiency in French or English.

About the test

Students who are applying for an international exchange may take a test to demonstrate their level of proficiency in English or French. The fee for this tests is $50.00.

For alternate means of demonstrating proficiency please see the eligibility requirements on the International Office web page.

Note: Some host institutions provide a specific language proficiency form which must be filled-out as part of the application. These forms usually require a more in-depth report about the student’s proficiency level. If a student has one of these forms to be completed, they should first try to find a professor who has taught them in their second language to complete the form. If the student is unable to find a professor to complete the form, the student may register for four skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking) testing with Language Testing Services. The fee for this test is $100.00. Please contact Language Testing Services at [email protected] if you require four skills testing.
