We would like to celebrate Black History Month by inviting you to take a course created by Dr. W. Andy Knight on Coursera called Black Canadians: History, Presence, and Anti-Racist Futures. Join us to complete the course together and participate in discussions.
Description of the event
This course will enable us to learn more about the history of the Black community in Canada and the impact of Black people in Canadian society. It has four modules, so we will meet once a week during the month of February to complete it together!

February 20, 2025 (2 p.m. - 3 p.m.) | Module 3: ''Black Canadian Civil Rights'' Topic: The perseverance and resistance, reaping the rewards of their efforts, change in policies, laws and Canadian society by Blacks. |
February 25, 2025 (2 p.m - 3 p.m.) | Module 4: ''Freedom Dreaming: Beauty & Artistry in Black Canadian Life'' Topic: The arts as a tool of liberation and the contribution of Black women to the world of art. |
