The chapter “10 Linguistic risk-taking and informal language learning in Canada and Austria,” in Language Learning and Leisure, published by De Gruyter Mouton (2023), is now available online.

It was co-authored by Stefanie Cajka, Eva Vetter, Ed Griffiths and Nikolay Slavkov, OLBI Professor and Director of the Canadian Centre for Studies and Research on Bilingualism and Language Planning (CCERBAL). The chapter is a collaboration between OLBI and the University of Vienna.

Nikolay Slavkov is also the researcher behind the Linguistic Risk-Taking Passport, a tool developed at OLBI to encourage learners to set themselves linguistic challenges.
