Alum Samantha Maislin Dickson, LLB ’97, LLL ’96, appointed Associate Deputy Minister of Justice

The Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the appointment of Samantha Maislin Dickson, LLB ’97, LLL ’96, as Associate Deputy Minister of Justice.

Since November 2020, Samantha has served as the Assistant Deputy Minister, Public Safety, Defence and Immigration Portfolio, Department of Justice Canada. She has held a variety of positions including: Senior General Counsel and Executive Director, Health Legal Services, Department of Justice Canada, Assistant Deputy Minister, TMX Crown Consultation Secretariat, Natural Resources Canada, Deputy Assistant Deputy Minister, Business and Regulatory Law Portfolio, Department of Justice Canada, General Counsel and Executive Director, Natural Resources Legal Services, Department of Justice Canada and Senior Counsel and Manager, Agriculture and Food Inspection Legal Services, Department of Justice Canada.
