Canadian Home Children

Visit the  Canadian Home Children Project by Elizabeth Jay to learn more about impoverished English children sent to Canada in the hope of improving their lives. A highlight of this digital history project is the interactive map that traces where the 164 children who arrived on the SS Minnedosa in September 1922 ended up in Canada and the information collected by social service inspectors regarding each of the children—a project created in the context of the fourth-year seminar HIS4135 Canadian Digital History.
