Conference speakers and panelists
Last March 20th, the Civil Law Section of the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, in collaboration with Global Affairs Canada, the Office of the Commissioner for Federal Judicial Affairs, the Department of Justice Canada, and Alinea International, organized a conference on international development in the justice sector.

Following brief opening remarks by Sharon Armstrong, Director General of International Assistance Partnerships and Strategic Coordination at Global Affairs Canada, panelists Lana Belber, counsel to the International Development Section of the Department of Justice of Canada ,and JoAnn Meloche, canadian lawyer specializing in gender equality in criminal law, shared their respective international experiences within the framework of Canada's Technical Assistance Partnership.

The conference took place in the presence of the Honourable Marc Richard, Chief Justice of New Brunswick, with the assistance of moderator Stephen Baranyi, Full Professor at the School of International Development and Global Studies at the University of Ottawa.

The conference was a resounding success!
