Christiana Sagay, a student member of HRREC, participated in the Winter Conference held by the Human Mobility and Migration Lab at the Rudolf Agricola School of Sustainable Development, University of Groningen, Netherlands, on January 25-26, 2024.
At the conference, she presented her paper on the Labour migration frameworks affecting migrant workers travelling from Africa to the European Union. This event was truly interdisciplinary, bringing together scholars from around the globe in various disciplines such as sociology, linguistics, political science, international relations, law, and cultural and literary studies. The discussions focused on identifying "consonance and dissonance" within the governance of migration.
