Michael Noonan, Health and Safety Leader of the Month for July
We’re delighted to announce that Michael Noonan, second class shift engineer at Facilities, has been named Health and Safety Leader for July!

Michael has played an active role in developing the Power Plant’s operational procedures, writing several key components, including those on workplace safety. “Mike is always on top of the current work and new procedures, providing constructive feedback on how to improve,” said Chief Operating Engineer André Forget. Worker participation is an important part of workplace safety, and a fundamental worker safety right.

Often unseen but playing a pivotal role in both campus safety and comfort, shift engineers and mechanics manage and monitor boilers, chillers, chill water and building systems. These professionals operating the Power Plant control centre help the campus run as safely and smoothly as possible for all of us.

We extend our sincere congratulations to Michael Noonan and to Facilities!
