Now, if you ask us, all 28 on-campus regular season winter home games are must-attend-games, but we chose a few in case you can’t make it to all of them.
Games you won’t want to miss:
January 12: Men’s and women’s basketball vs. Laurentian at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Reasons not to skip - It’s Drip Night! We’ll be giving out prizes for the drippiest outfits and if last year was any indication, this will be a night to remember. PLUS our basketball teams have had stellar seasons so far this year, top notch basketball guaranteed.
January 19: Women’s volleyball vs. UQAC at 6 p.m.
What makes this game different - Glow night round two! Glow in the dark volleyball? Come see for yourself. Glow sticks, black lights, a glow in the dark dance show and more! Be sure to wear white so you can get in on the glow.
January 25: Women’s hockey vs. McGill vs. at 7 p.m.
A definite no skip - This Mardi Gras themed game will feature beads, beignets, New Orleans music and lots of good vibes. This game is FREE for all uOttawa students and the brand-new NOX restaurant in Minto will be open before, during and after the game for anyone looking to enjoy some food and drinks on game day. Bonus points to everyone who comes dressed in Mardi Gras inspired outfits.
February 2: Capital Hoops
A chance to watch the Gee-Gees beat the Ravens is reason enough - Remember when Campbell Fair kicked that winning Panda Field goal back in October? Come chase that feeling with us at the annual Capital Hoops games at TD Place on February 2. The women’s team beat the #1 ranked Ravens 74-56 at the Bytown Battle in December and our men’s team beat the Ravens 79-78 in an exhilarating game. Check out the game winning shot to see a taste of the excitement these teams bring when they play each other. Tickets go-on sale January 11 on Ticketmaster!
February 8: Colonel By Classic
The women’s hockey team beat the Ravens (music to our ears) in the first installment of Colonel By Classic in November, cheer the men’s team on as they aim to make it a sweep! Tickets go-on sale January 11 on Ticketmaster!
February 9: Hoops For Heritage
Celebrate Black History Month alongside the Gee-Gees basketball teams. A night of cultural celebration that will feature performances from local artists, delicious food and some top tier basketball.
February 19: Digs for Diversity
Celebrate Black History Month alongside the Gee-Gees volleyball teams. Stay tuned for info about performers!
