Once again, our professors are the pride of our Faculty: they have won several awards and secured funding for their research. These individuals are outstanding in their respective fields and proudly represent the Faculty at the local, national and international level.
  • Professor Jacinthe Savard (School of Rehabilitation Sciences) has received the 2024 Acfas Gilles-Paquet Prize, awarded for research on Francophones in minority settings.
  • Professor Amélie Perron (School of Nursing) has been names a 2024 Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Nursing.
  • Professor Krystina Lewis (School of Nursing) has received funding through a New Investigator Award from the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
  • Professor Josephine Etowa (School of Nursing) was named a 2024 Order of Ottawa inductee during a ceremony held at City Hall on November 14, 2024.
  • Professor Daniel Bérubé (School of Rehabilitation Sciences) was awarded a $222,767 Insight Grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada for his research project entitled “Benchmarking bilingualism: An investigation into the phonology, vocabulary, and reading skills of young bilingual children in Canada.”
  • Professor Michael Robidoux (School of Human Kinetics) has received a $326,319 Insight Grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada for his project entitled “Climate change impacts and adaptations on local food harvesting for the Moose Cree First Nation in Moose Factory.”
  • Professor Claire Tugault-Lafleur (School of Nutrition Sciences) has received a $75,000 Insight Development Grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada for her project entitled “Menu planning and feeding practices of childcare providers in the Ottawa region: A mixed method study.”
