I was trained for animal handling and also passed a bunch of other trainings for ip injection, anesthesia etc in mice and rats. I received training and have experience working with rats during my PhD and postdoctoral fellowship as well.

At Princess Margaret Cancer Centre my project was using mouse models of viral infection and cancer so I had constant experience with mouse work. At Carleton University I was focused on lab based duties and performed mouse work rarely when animal tech team was short staffed only.
