Digital Capacity at CRX is a digital skills support drop-in program running Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Tinkering Lab (CRX C220).

Digital capacity, the ability to adopt and develop new practices with digital technologies, is one of 11 uOCompetencies, essential skills for all University of Ottawa students.

This Fall, Digital Literacy Librarian, Mish Boutet is offering a new program to support digital capacity and will be available for one-on-one consultations with students and to offer different digital experiences with the room's technologies. From artificial Intelligence tools to email signatures, no digital skill is too small!

Sessions will feature virtual reality, games, data visualization, artificial intelligence tools, or other demonstrative use of the Tinkering Lab’s technologies and three large displays.

The program features monthly themes and will adapt to requests from students and professors and to rapidly changing technologies. Day-to-day programming will be flexible and subject to change.

The program runs from Tuesday, January 9 until Thursday, April 9. No sessions will be held during Reading Week.

Registration is not required. During operating hours, students are welcome to come and go from the Tinkering Lab (CRX C220). Everyone is welcome.
